DOUGLAS GOODMAN
OPERATING PARTNER
Doug Goodman has extensive experience in specialty lending, with particular focus on peer-to-peer (marketplace) lending. His daily work includes credit analytics and regular evaluations of potential lending platforms of interest to the Fund.
Prior to joining Arcadia full-time in 2014, he served as an adviser to the firm on portfolio strategy and credit analytics and in that role, helped develop and refine the firm’s marketplace buying algorithms. Before taking on these responsibilities for Arcadia, Doug was a team member at Camelot Financial Capital, where he advised Lending Club on a number of credit risk analytics and business development projects, including driving improvements to Lending Club’s early underwriting standards.
From 2011-2014, Mr. Goodman was a senior analyst at Google, where he served in several strategy and analysis leadership roles, including helping found and lead the Global Display Analytics group and performing big data analysis projects for the Display Ads unit. Prior duties included leading sales strategy and operations for the $5 billion Americas Large Publishers business.
Doug’s range of financial work finds its foundation in a 2007 to 2010 stint as a director with Cedar Lane Asset Management, an asset-based lending fund underwriting cash flows from intellectual property assets such as film and music royalty streams. At Cedar Lane, he performed credit underwriting for an array of potential transactions. Prior to this, Doug was a vice President at Citigroup, working in their Corporate Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions Group.
Doug is a designated Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Columbia University where he received Beta Gamma Sigma honors. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics cum laude from Harvard University, where he was a member of the Varsity Heavyweight Crew and trained at US Rowing’s Pre-Elite Camp.
